A group of men from Bushey are taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge later this year to raise money for charity Grief Encounter who support bereaved children and their families.
Friends James Rose, James Martin and Richard Plaskow from Bushey and Jonny Goldfarb from Finchley will climb to the summits of Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Mount Snowdon in just 24 hours on September 18.
They hope to raise £4,000 for Grief Encounter and challenge themselves to tackle the three highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales.
James Rose told BusheyNews: “We decided to support Grief Encounter because they are a fantastic charity, what they do and the results they achieve for people is incredible.
“We each had ideas of different personal charities we would like to raise funds for and concluded that as we all have kids, and we all know people who have been affected by grief in some way this would be a great one to support.”
The group have already raised £900 and are looking forward to taking on the pressure of the renowned challenge and beginning their training soon.
