Aldenham parkrun has celebrated its milestone 10-year anniversary.
The weekly running event hit double figures on Saturday, June 21, with runners once again taking on the five-kilometre course which includes two laps of the reservoir at Aldenham Country Park.
It was the 450th time the weekly run had taken place, with 146 runners taking part.
The celebrations were marked with birthday cakes decorated with the number 10 while prizes were handed out to anyone completing their 10th parkrun or for anyone who finished 10th or 110th.
Since the first event in 2015, a total of 833 people have volunteered, 10,242 runners have finished the course, and 6,000 people have recorded their parkrun personal best.
Following the celebrations, Aldenham parkrun thanked those who made the day special.
They said: “A big thank you to everyone who attended Aldenham and helped us celebrate our 10-year anniversary.
“A total of 146 of you braved the scorching temperatures and thankfully helped eat the cakes.”
