Friends of Aylward have announced that the Stanmore primary school will be hosting a fireworks night on Friday, November 8, following a successful event last year.
The ‘all zoom, no boom’ quiet show starts at 6.30pm, before the main fireworks display begins
at 7.15pm.
The event is raising money to purchase new laptops for the school, adding to the outdoor classroom and book vending machine the Friends have already fundraised for.
The Friends have also organised leavers parties and graduation gifts for the pupils.
Lauren Hayter, chair of the Friends group, said: “We’re a group of parents who have been fundraising for the school to enhance and enrich the lives of the children whilst at the school.
“We would love to invite the whole community to join us.”
Tickets for the show cost £8 for adults, £5 for children and £22 for a family of four. Children under age three go free.
