The pet support charity Pets in Need Herts has been named as the latest winner of the Breakspear Park community funding project.
Pets in Need is a not-for-profit charity, which runs an animal food bank and supports low-income households looking after animals. Since opening, they have collected more than 15,000 donations for cats and dogs, with a mission to stop neglect and abuse of animals, as well as reduce the intake of pets in rescue centres.
Both the public and employees at the business park have nominated and voted for the charity, which will now receive a £1,000 grant.
The founder of the charity said: “We are delighted to have had the opportunity to participate in Breakspear Park Herts Community Grant Awards. We can’t thank them enough for their support and donation of £1,000.
“We also wish to thank everyone who voted for us. For now, a weight has been lifted, which is a huge relief. We can use the money towards our storage unit and continue to help pets in need.”
