A group of care home residents have shown that age is just a number after completing a 10-mile charity walk.
On Wednesday, May 21, residents and staff from Chorleywood Manor Care Home took part in the London Bridges Walk to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.
The walk takes a scenic route over several iconic bridges, including London Bridge and Tower Bridge.
A spokesperson for the care home shared on their social media: “We had the best of days with some of our residents, who loved every second of it.
“It was a long day but… the comments we were getting and those that spurred us on kept us going.”
The group have smashed their goal of £1,000 and raised more than £3,000 so far. To donate, please visit www.shorturl.at/IWzGW to donate.
