Petrolheads and motor enthusiasts from across Croxley enjoyed the sight of classic cars across the Green recently, as part of a classic car show.
Organised by the Watford & District Classic Vehicle Club (W&DCVC), the free entry event took place on Sunday, August 7 from 10am to 4pm, and saw many retro motors fill up the green space.
This was a more relaxed affair than is usual, as part of the organisers’ plan to ease back into events after a two-year absence caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdowns.
An impressive number of cars and other vehicles were there for viewing, including an old London double-decker bus, BMWs, Fords, Triumphs, Lotuses, a classic Volkswagen Beetle and an Oldsmobile, to name just a few.
Though entry was free this year, from 2023 any events being organised by the W&DCVC will only be accessible through pre-paid tickets and advance booking, with the proceeds still going to charity.
