A Chalfont St Peter resident was left shocked and is warning locals to be careful after his brother in law was hit by an air gun pellet whilst sitting in the garden.
On Saturday May 29, Mr Hussain was enjoying the nice weather in his back garden with brother in law Mr Ahmed when he was suddenly hit by a pellet.
Speaking to CHALFONTSnews he said: “Someone shot an air gun/rifle into our garden from Kingsway and it hit my brother in law. He’s got a six months old daughter and a two year old son but luckily they were inside.
“At first he thought someone threw a stone at him but we looked around and noticed the pellet. We were completely shocked and we started panicking a bit thinking if the kids were ok.
“We reported it to the police and they took a telephone statement from my brother in law but they haven’t been to the house and I haven’t heard back from them.”
Mr Ahmed added: “Luckily he’s okay but if he was facing the other way round it could have hit him in the eye. My kids are now also asking if it’s safe to go outside in the garden.
“I don’t think someone was targeting us, it could’ve been just kids messing around. I have been told a fair was going on so it could’ve come from there, I am not sure, but this is worrying.”
