A Bushey resident will be embarking on an almighty walking challenge in order to raise money for a number of worthy causes.
Philip Jones is walking from Bath to Bushey in support of three charities which are close to his heart. He plans to set off on his 189km journey from his hometown of Bath on September 4, and has set a goal of three-and-a-half days to complete it.
Philip said: “I am supporting [homelessness charity] Crisis because I arrange various street parties in Ash Hill Close, Bushey, and friends in the Close have confirmed that when we collect for charity (usually at Christmas carol singing), we should support Crisis.
“Second, I am supporting Dogs Trust as I am a life-long dog lover, dog walker and dog trainer.
“Finally, I am supporting the Red Trust Bushey (RTB) as I am a volunteer at this food bank and welfare centre, and all of the volunteers are amazing people who do so much for the community.”
