Dacorum Police have confirmed that Berkhamsted High Street has been temporarily closed on Sunday morning whilst they investigate an assault.
It happened outside a row of shops in the early hours of June 14.
]Residents are being asked to avoid the area by the police.
The High Street was shut between Cross Oak and Kitsbury Road and crime scene tape can be been outside some of the shops.
Dacorum Police posted an update on Twitter saying: “Berkhamsted High Street is currently closed while we deal with reports of an assault. Please avoid the area. Thank you for your cooperation.”
Hertfordshire Police have been asked for an update as the investigation continues.
