Autumn Fest returns to the village once again for a fun-packed day to promote local growers and food producers and to celebrate its orchard history.
On September 21, at School Mead enjoy the friendly and intimate atmosphere of music, fun, games, laughter and the occasional brolly.
From 11am till 4pm the event is an opportunity to pick up fresh fruit and vegetables, heritage fruit trees ideal for planting at this time of year, to sample locally grown and produced food, beer and cider.
The Autumn Fest also promotes local food aims against a back-drop of live music and performances, local groups and societies, craft work and activities for all ages.
Traditional fun and games for all the family. Coconut Shy, Tombola’s, make a Natural Art Mandala, and a Bug Hotel, Drumming, Story Telling, Face Painting, and much more can be found throughout the day.
In the lead up to the day itself, younger festival-goers are encouraged to make Scarecrows which will appear around the village, and to join in the Treasure Hunt in the High Street businesses.
