A 35-year-old man has been arrested following a report of a woman being raped in an Amersham pub.
The man, of no fixed abode, was released under investigation, but Thames Valley Police are asking for witnesses or anyone with any important information to contact them. CCTV images of two men were released to the public following the reporting of the incident at the Chequers Pub on London Road, Amersham.
Investigating officer, Detective Constable Tom Gregory said: “I believe these two men may have been speaking to a woman and a man at the bar before the incident happened and as such, they may have important information that could help the investigation.”
The two men have now been identified and have come forward to help police with their enquiries. The incident in question took place around 11pm on Friday, September 3.
Detective Constable Gregory also added: “Anyone with information can contact police by calling 101 or making a report online, quoting reference 43210408674.
