Artwork created by people on a mental health and wellbeing course is going on display in Croxley.
A group mosaic made by participants of the spring 2023 Arts on Prescription course is to be installed inside Croxley Green Library as a colourful addition to the reading environment.
Arts on Prescription is a referral course operated by Three Rivers District Council, which uses the creative arts to help people feel better and live well.
The recent courses have been focused around producing mosaics, with artist Audrey Montet leading the groups.
In the sessions, each person works on an individual art project, as well as collaborating on a larger group project.
Many of those who have taken part have reported improved mental health and wellbeing.
One attendee, who wished to remain anonymous, said: “This course has helped me develop in so many ways, in confidence, self-esteem and my general wellbeing.”
The artwork from the previous course will also go on display outside the HIVE building at Leavesden Country Park.
