Residents won’t have to travel far to get a glimpse of the sea this summer, as two Pinner artists will exhibit their coastal-themed work at a Grade II listed Victorian lodge.
As part of the Chandos Artists’ ongoing residency at Reveley Lodge in Bushey, two members have come together to share their work, including beach scenes, still life and portraiture.
Pam is an experienced artist who is mostly drawn to landscapes and enjoys painting outside.
She has been a member of Chandos Art and Crafts since its launch and is also a member of Pinner Sketch Club.
During one of her exhibitions at Bushey Museum, the museum bought her painting of the Rose Garden and cards are now on sale in the shop.
Speaking to Pinnernews, Pam said: “The choice of medium is usually influenced by the subject and how I want to portray it.
“It would be very boring to always paint in the same style with just one medium so I love to try different materials and methods.”
Fellow Chandos member Jenny is also taking part. After graduating with a diploma in Art and Design from Harrow School of Art, she has worked as a freelance illustrator for many years.
Speaking to Pinnernews, Jenny shared: “I mostly paint in oils, a variety of subjects including portrait (human and animal), landscape, and still life. I also enjoy printmaking, especially lino relief printing.”
You can see Pam and Jenny’s work in The Stables Gallery at Reveley Lodge from Wednesday, June 11, to Saturday, July 12.
