Art lovers of all ages flocked to Berkhamsted Art Fair last month, which featured paintings, ceramics and glassware by 66 local artists.

Hundreds of people enjoyed the event between Friday, May 10, and Sunday, May 12.

Visitors had the chance to get creative by making their own bug-related art at a painting table and taking part in an interactive demonstration.

Pupils from Swing Gate Infant School and Bridgewater School also visited and heard from the artists about how their paintings were created.

One visitor commented: “The demonstration was delightful, and I enjoyed the whole exhibition. It was really interesting to meet and speak to so many talented artists and see their beautiful work.”

All the artists who exhibited their work are members of Berkhamsted Art Society (BAS).

Catherine Archer, who has been a BAS member since 2018, said: “It’s fantastic to be part of this ever-growing community of artists. Everyone is so encouraging and supportive of each other. There are so many ways to be an active member.”
