Man arrested after reports of occupant in possession of a knife at a property in Whippendell Road in Watford.
Police were called at around 11.15am today to an address after it was reported that the occupant was in possession of a knife and making threats to cause harm.
During the incident, road closures were put in place as a precaution with armed police in attendance.
A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Police said: “It was reported that an occupant of the address was in possession of a knife and making threats to cause harm.
“Officers attended, including armed resources due to the nature of the call. Road closures were put in place as a precaution while the incident was dealt with.
“It was brought to a safe conclusion a short time later and no one was injured. It is being treated as an isolated incident.
“A man has been arrested and remains in police custody at this time.”
