Armed police and a police helicopter responded to an incident where a van driver was allegedly threatened at knifepoint on Monday, March 14.
Hertfordshire Police were called to Harvest End in Garston in the evening after a member of the public called regarding two males attempting to force entry into a van with the intention of attacking the van driver.
Despite a search, police were unable to find the van nor suspects, with enquiries ongoing.
A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Police said: “Police were called by a member of the public at around 6pm on Monday (March 13) following a disturbance in Harvest End, Watford.
“It was reported that two males were seen trying to force access to a van in order to attack the occupant.
“Officers attended to carry out a search of the area, alongside the police helicopter and dog unit, but neither the van or the suspects were traced and no victims have come forward at this time. As there were reports of a knife, armed officers were also called as per protocol.
“Enquiries are continuing, and anyone with information is asked to please call 101 quoting ISR 642 of Monday 13 March.”
