APPLY ONLINE: Community champion for Tesco Hemel Hempstead Extra encourages organisations to apply for Bags of Help funding

Published on: 18th October 2020   |   By: Amneet Kaur   |   Category: Uncategorized

A community champion for Tesco Hemel Hempstead Extra is encouraging all children’s and youth groups in town to apply for funding through Tesco bags of Help.

Tricia Glenister thinks the funds will benefit the town’s community.

Bags of Help is Tesco’s local community grant scheme, which funds thousands of community projects every year.

During October, November and December 2020 the scheme will provide grants of up to £1000 to support projects focused on local children and young people.

Tricia said: “I think it is important to help our local community and all pull together in these uncertain times.

“I would encourage local groups to have a look online and apply. Helping our community is important to us all at Tesco.”

Three community projects in each local area are voted on by customers in Tesco stores throughout the UK, with projects changing every three months.

Following the vote, the project that received the most votes in its area will receive a grant of up to £2,000, second place receiving up to £1,000 and third place up to £500.
