Published on: 20th October 2017   |   By: The Newsdesk   |   Category:

Detectives investigating a robbery in Bushey are appealing for witnesses and information. The incident happened on Monday (April 28) at around 4.25pm at Barclays Bank in Bushey High Street when a man walked into the bank and demanded money from a cashier. He took a large sum of money and walked left out of the bank into the High Street where he met with another man. No weapons were seen and no one was hurt in the incident. The offender is described as a white man, with a tanned complexion and of a stocky build. He was wearing a hooded top, with the hood up, and had stubble. He was carrying a carrier bag. Detective Sergeant Alexandra Warwick said: “This happened during daylight hours and there would have been people around in the High Street at the time of the robbery. “Anyone who saw a man matching the offender’s description, before or after the incident, approaching another man, or anything unusual or suspicious should contact me straight away.” Anyone with information is asked to contact DS Warwick via Hertfordshire Constabulary’s non-emergency number 101, citing crime reference J2/14/469. Alternatively call Crimestoppers, the independent charity, anonymously on 0800 555 111.
