Police investigating a burglary at a church hall in Radlett are appealing for witnesses and information. The break-in occurred at Christ Church Vision Hall, in Watling Street, between midnight and 2am on Saturday, August 22. Between these times, offenders have forced open the fire doors before setting off four fire extinguishers inside the building. Litter was also left on the floor. PC Chris Golding, who is investigating, said: “This thoughtless incident has caused a great deal of upset in the community and has left the owners of the church hall with a hefty clean-up bill. “It is thought that the people responsible may have been in the church yard prior to the incident and I am appealing for anyone who thinks they may have seen them around the times stated to contact me. I would also like to hear from anyone with any other information about what happened.” Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Golding on the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference J1/15/3070. Alternatively, if you have any information about this incident you can contact the independent crime-fighting charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or through their Anonymous Online Form at www.crimestoppers-uk.org. No personal details are taken, information cannot be traced or recorded and you will not go to court.
