Appeal following assault in St Albans

Officers investigating an incident of assault in St Albans are appealing for information and witnesses.

At around 4.45pm on Sunday, February 18 the victim – a 16 year old boy – was walking his dog along Brampton Road towards Clarence Road when he was punched in the face by the offender.

He is described as being a black man, aged 25 to 30 years old, of stocky build with short hair. He was wearing a brown jacket and brown trousers.

The victim suffered a bruised left eye.

Anyone who witnessed the assault or has information that could assist the on-going investigation is asked to contact Hertfordshire Constabulary via the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference F1/18/823 or report information online at www.herts.police.uk/report.
