Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a burglary in Watford on July 10. Between 9am and 12.15pm offender(s) forced entry to doors at the back of house in The Ridgeway. A number of items were taken including jewellery, money and a Comitti grandmother clock. There are two possible suspects. The first is described as a white man aged 20 to 30 years old, between 5ft 7ins and 6ft tall. He was wearing a thin lightweight waterproof jacket and was carrying a dark suitcase. The second was a white man who was also 20 to 30 years old and between 5ft 5ins tall and 5ft 7ins tall. He was possibly wearing shorts and carrying a ladies light coloured handbag. Detective Constable Jennifer Stoddart is investigating and said: “I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw the men described above, or saw anything suspicious to please contact me. “I would also be keen to hear from anyone who believes they have seen a clock like this for sale since the burglary.” Anyone who can assist should please call DC Stoddart on 01923 472985 or via the Herts Police non-emergency number 101 quoting crime reference number C1/15/3272.
