A man from Rickmansworth with learning disabilities has used his artistic talent to raise money for Chris Wicks Wildlife Rescue (CWWR) on Stockers Farm.
Aditya Putcha hosted a table sale outside his house on Saturday, October 16, selling animal-inspired artwork, handmade soaps and hand creams, house plants and baked goods. The charity event was well attended by the community and raised more than £250 for CWWR.
Aditya has a lifelong love for wildlife and enjoys painting, particularly animals. He organised the event to raise money for a local charity close to his heart whilst using his skill set and hobbies.
Aditya’s mum, Janaki Putcha said: “Aditya is a young man with autism and learning disabilities. He is supported at home by his family and a very dedicated band of creative individuals. We are very grateful to Chris Wicks, for allowing us to fundraise for this wonderful charity. It has given Aditya and all working with him a cause or a focal point to work towards, over the last few months.”
CWWR carries out valuable work in the community, rescuing, rehabilitating and then releasing local wildlife.
