A local artist from Pinner, is opening a new exhibition at The Verden Gallery at the Heath Robinson Museum from Friday, September 29.
Alex Cazzato, 24, is a multi-medium practicing artist who has shown his work in previous years, including a collection surrounding Elton John’s connections to Pinner and discography in 2020. His latest project, Reach Before the Sun Sets, is a series of works exploring themes around mental health and assessment; narratives encompassing optimism and hope to overcome the instances of suffering and moments of fragility.
The exhibition is described as having “poetic anecdotes which develop into storylines, questioning the real and hyperreal as the work takes the viewer on a journey of self-reflection. Pictures of fluidity juxtapose with more grounded scenic artworks, the abstractions of places presented as otherworldly or of a dream-state to allow the viewer to project themselves into the paintings and collages.”
In his more recent series’, writing and developing storylines in relation to his pictures plays an important role in informing the viewer further as well as providing opportunities for escapism with context to assist interpretation.

Alex’s exhibition will be running from Friday, September 29 until Sunday, October 1 at The Verden Gallery, West House, 50 West End Lane, Pinner, HA5 1AE
