A man was allegedly struck with a glass bottle in an altercation in Watford last week.
The incident is reported to have taken place on Friday, July 7 at around 2.30pm on a grass area next to Church Street.
After a confrontation between two people, a man reportedly hit the victim with a glass bottle causing the victim to sustain an injury.
A 47-year-old man from Bushey was arrested on suspicion of assault (assault occasioning actual bodily harm) and possession of cannabis and has since been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
PC Lewis Stanley, who is investigating, said: “This incident was a terrible ordeal for the victim who has sustained injuries.
“Our enquiries are continuing, and we are appealing for anyone with information to please get in touch.”
