‘ALARMING INCIDENT’: Seven men arrested following brawl in Abbots Langley

Multiple people have now been arrested following an incident of assault in Abbots Langley.

The incident occurred in Parnell Close at around 7.35pm on Friday, April 26. A man was injured and airlifted to hospital for treatment. His injuries were later confirmed to be non-life-changing.

A total of seven people that were involved in the incident have now been arrested: a man in his 20s has been arrested and bailed on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and violent disorder; an 18-year-old man has been arrested and bailed on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and violent disorder; four men, the youngest of whom is 19 and the oldest in his fifties, have been arrested and bailed on suspicion of violent disorder; and a man in his 40s has been interviewed and is under investigation on suspicion of violent disorder.

Detective Inspector Chris Parperi said: “We appreciate that this incident would have been alarming for the public, but we hope that arresting all that were involved will help to make people feel safer.

“As we work to understand the full circumstances of the incident, I’d like to thank members of the public who have been assisting us with our investigation.
