A charity shop in Rickmansworth is on the lookout for more volunteers to help at their store in the week. Rickmansworth Age UK, on the High Street, are looking for a number of people to assist with various jobs during certain shifts. Julia Howlett, manager of the Rickmansworth branch of Age UK, told My Ricky News that any help would be most welcome. She said: “We want volunteers who can work in various shifts such as 9am to 1pm and 1pm to 5pm during the week. “Monday mornings and Saturday all day is when we are most in need of some help. Work will include till work, steaming and all different types of tasks that are undertaken in a charity shop.” Age UK is the country’s largest charity dedicated to helping everyone make the most of later life. The over-60s is the fastest-growing group in society and there are more people over the age of 60 than ever before. Ageing is not an illness, but it can be challenging. At Age UK they provide services and support at a national and local level to inspire, enable and support older people. If anyone is interested in volunteering at AgeUK, pop into 171 High Street, Rickmansworth, or call 01923 711726 for more details.
