A community enhancement initiative has managed to keep Northwood residents smiling for the past year.
Activities 4 You whose home is at St John’s United Reformed Church works with local groups to provide activities, classes and more to bring the community together.
Laura Manfredi said they have seen an increase in the number of people joining virtually which is one positive to have come from the pandemic.
She said: “Being in lockdown has forced people to enhance their wellbeing and has given them the extra time to try something.
“Many people have the opportunity to reassess things they go back to normal.”
Laura added that although Zoom has been a lifesaver for many they can’t wait to welcome back familiar faces.
She said: “Zoom has actually been a lifesaver for many, a lot of us including myself were uncomfortable to start with but it was great to keep people connected.”
