A youth football team in Abbots Langley is looking for new players for next season. Abbots Youth FC U13 Blue are looking for new players to join their squad for next season. Most of the current players have been playing for the team for at least seven years and have developed a fantastic team spirit. Manager Bruce Marsh said “To enable the team to be able to field a squad for next season we are looking for two or three players to join our already strong team. We would welcome boys who are in the current Year 8 and who have played at school or club level to come and trial with us with a view to playing next season. “The team and I have grown together from the start when they were just five years old and we would hate for them to disband due to insufficient players at this stage. We train twice a week concentrating on fitness levels as well as skills and play matches on a Sunday.” Abbots Youth Football Club has been running over the past fifty years, in the heart of Abbots Langley village. They are committed to meeting the sporting needs of the children of Abbots Langley and achieved recognition of Charter Status by the Football Association in 2002, one of the first clubs to be recognised in the UK. Their base is now firmly established at Manor House Gardens in alliance with the Abbots Youth Cricket Club. The teams historically were made up of children from the village although due to the growth and strength of the club they now attract players and managers from a wide radius of Abbots Langley. If you would like to enjoy playing football at a good level next season and would like to know more, please contact Bruce on 07973 865290
