Croxley councillors have launched a campaign to work together with local businesses to make changes to a Controlled Parking Zone.
The CPZ on Watford Road currently makes it difficult for customers to park for long amounts of times to visit the businesses.
Lib Dem councillors Margaret Hofman and Dominic Sokalski are supporting a petition lodged by The Kitchen owner Linda Anderson, which calls on Three Rivers District Council to introduce dual parking bays for customers and allow parking for two hours.
Cllr Margaret Hofman is urging residents who support the idea to consider signing the petition.
She said: ‘’Businesses depend on customers being able to visit and park their cars without hassle. There are too few dual-purpose parking bays for where customers can park.
“Additionally, the short stay parking bays on Watford Road and Frankland Road only allow customers to park for free for one hour, with no return within two hours. This is not long enough for customers who visit cafés, dentists, hairdressers, nail salons and others.”
