A man and a woman have been arrested in connection with the supply of class A drugs after police conducted two warrants in Watford. Police later conducted a search warrant at the properties in Wilmington Close on Monday (11 May). Suspected class A drugs (heroin and cocaine) and weapons (knives) were seized. Marcus Clay, aged 19, of no fixed address, has been charged with possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply. He remains in police custody. A 26 year old woman was arrested on suspicion of possession of class A drugs. She has been released on police bail pending further enquiries. Safer Neighbourhood Inspector for Watford, Nick Lillitou said: “These warrants were conducted as a result of concerns raised by local residents about anti-social behaviour and suspected drug related activity taking place. “We are committed to tackling drug related crime in Watford and will pursue anyone suspected of being involved. “If you have information about suspicious behaviour or suspected drug dealing, we want to hear about it. Please report this to police via the non-emergency number, 101. You can also contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
