Leavesden district councillor Kevin Raeburn is set to cycle from Land’s End to John O’Groats to raise money for the Royal Free Charity.
Cllr Raeburn is aiming to complete the challenge over the course of 14 days, from June 8 to 21.
Speaking to ABBOTSnews, he said: “I am excited to share my journey as I prepare for the cycle ride from Land’s End to John O’Groats. This personal challenge is not just about cycling; it is about making a meaningful impact through the Royal Free Charity.
“As I embark on this journey, I am reminded of the importance of community support, so I have pledged to raise at least £1,500 to contribute towards these essential services.”
The Royal Free Charity supports patients, staff and researchers across the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust in North London.
Cllr Raeburn added: “I invite you to join me in this mission. Your generous support can help transform lives and enhance healthcare experiences for many individuals in need. Together, we can make a lasting impact.”
