WITNESS APPEAL: Police launch after suspected assault in Hemel Hempstead

Police are appealing for witnesses, CCTV and dash cam footage following an assault in Hemel Hempstead.

The incident occurred at around 3pm on Sunday, October 13, on High Street Green.

A man reportedly got out of a vehicle and struck another man, who was walking down the road, with a weapon.

The victim, a man aged in his 40s, sustained cuts to his head. It is believed the suspect and victim were known to each other.

Detective Constable Natasha Gibbings, from the Dacorum Local Crime Unit, said: “Our enquiries are continuing, and I am urging anyone with information to please get in touch.

“If you saw what happened, have any dash cam or CCTV footage, or any further information, then please contact police.

“I understand someone may have been recording the incident on their mobile phone at the time, and I am keen to obtain this footage to assist the investigation.

“Any information can be emailed to me directly via Natasha.Gibbings@herts.police.uk.”
