Well-deserved award for Early Years team

A school in Garston is celebrating after its Early Years Team recently received a prestigious award.

Staff at Cherry Tree Primary School on Berry Avenue attended a ceremony where they were presented with an Early Years Quality Standard Gold Award. To win, they spent a year implementing the action plan, self-evaluating and reflecting on how to improve their practice.

A report on the Cherry Tree team read: “The team has embraced all aspects of this award and under strong leadership developed the environment, provision and practice within the Early Years setting. The impact on the outcomes for all the children in school shows the impact of their hard work.”

Headteacher Jessie Bruce paid tribute to the fantastic achievement of her team.

She commented: “We are so proud of our Early Years team and the high quality provision they provide for all their young children, who make such amazing progress.”
