Watford FC have announced the signing of summer target Ismaila Sarr from Ligue 1 side Rennes.
The 21-year-old has signed a five year deal for the club which will see him stay at Vicarage Road until 2024.
The signing went down to the wire on deadline day with the two clubs locked into negotiations for months.
It was believed earlier today the two clubs were apart in their valuation of the player but have now come to an agreement.
Sarr scored 13 goals and contributed 11 assists across 50 matches in all competitions for Rennes.
Rumours suggest that Tottenham Hotspur left-back Danny Rose is currently at Watford’s training ground in London Colney ahead of a potential move to the Hornets.
It is understood that Spurs have rejected an offer from Watford who are expected to bid again.
