Reports coming out of Italy say Watford have prepared a club record bid for a striker with no goals all season.
According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, the Hornets have made a £20 million offer to sign Roma striker Gregoire Defrel initially on loan with a view to a permanent deal.
The 26-year-old Frenchman is yet to find the back of the net for the Italian giants but Andre Gray has struggled for goals while captain Troy Deeney has struggled to hold down a place in the side.
