Watford family left shaken as car crashes into property

A Nascot family was left shaken after their car was written off by a hit and run driver.

At around 8.30pm on Thursday, May 23, a young man crashed his dark blue Vauxhall Corsa into a property on Ridge Lane.

He immediately left the scene despite the damage sustained to his car, with various parts left scattered over the grass verge.

The collision left the family facing having to write off their car (pictured above).

The driver also destroyed a concrete fence post, fence panel, damaged a garden wall, flowers and ornaments.

Fortunately, there was no one walking along the pavement and no one was injured.

Neighbours say the vehicle had a personalised number plate and was seen moments earlier on Nascot Wood Road engaged in a road rage incident.

The driver of the other car involved was extremely shaken.

As part of their enquiries into the incident, Hertfordshire Constabulary is appealing for witnesses who may have seen the dark blue Vauxhall Corsa driving erratically on Langley Road, Nascot Wood Road or on Ridge Lane to contact PC Doyle 549 at Watford Police Station on 01707 354000.
