Crowds came in their hundreds to watch the procession of the annual Abbots Langley Carnival over the weekend.
The sun broke out on Saturday, June 8 as children, parents, shop owners, teachers, community figures were in high spirits as the community spent months building up to the carnival.
Locals knitted items to Yarn Bomb the high street in bright floral colours, Tanners Wood Primary School built a float about Paddington 2, Ginder Memorials towed a Bat Car themed trailer, disability charity Electric Umbrella who were all clad in black and yellow t-shirts playing music and much more.
Prince Maximus Diesel of Abbots Langley School and Princess Abigail Seeking of Divine Saviour School led the procession through the village in a traditional horse and cart.
Abigail said: “Thank you for making my dreams come true.”
The community centre is hoping to repeat the Prince and Princess of the Parade next year and are looking for someone to volunteer and help organise the competition.
