Violence and sexual offences spike in Kings Langley and Hemel Hempstead

Violence and sexual offences increased significantly across Kings Langley and Hemel Hempstead South, according to the latest statistics available on Police.UK

There were 91 violence and sexual offences in October, compared to 71 in September.

Crime generally increased throughout October, with 362 crimes taking place, compared with 350 the previous month.

Shoplifting was particularly prominent, going from 19 offences in September to 30 the following month.

Despite the overall increase, there were a number of offences that decreased from the previous month: Anti-social behaviour (from 91 to 77), criminal damage and arson (from 24 to 8), drugs (from 12 to 8) and bicycle theft and burglary both decreased by one.

 Crime was particularly prominent near Bennetts End and on London Road, particularly near Storey Street and Kents Avenue.
