Village school gets arty

Published on: 18th July 2018   |   By: Jason Allen   |   Category: Uncategorized

Budding artists at a primary school in Radlett got arty last month when they held their annual open afternoon to showcase their impressive work.

The afternoon provided pupils at Fair Field school with the opportunity to celebrate all the various artwork and creative writing that they have done throughout the year.

The hall was a vibrant display of colour and creativity as each year group presented the areas of work that they had been focusing on during the past year.

Year 3’s demonstrated their creativity through the clocks that they had made as well as their ‘Change your Mindset’ art and report writing.

They also had the calligrams that they made and their pattern pictures on display.

Year 4 had their Aboriginal Art as well as the purses that they had sewn and the cars that they had designed and made in their Design and Technology lessons on display.

Their layered books on the Amazon Rainforest demonstrated their vast knowledge and understanding of different habitats and environments.

The Year 5’s were able to show off their parabolic and tessellated patterns as well as their 2D and 3D African masks.

They also had a wide range of paintings inspired by the work of William Morris and Pablo Picasso to display.

The Year 6 work was comprised of Pop Art, poetry and a range of artwork reflecting their memories and the culmination of their time at Fair Field.

The afternoon was enjoyed by all those who attended and gave children the perfect platform to share their work with their parents and friends.
