A firm has announced a development in south Watford will go-ahead, having received planning permission from Three Rivers District Council.
The 180,000 sq ft development will be built near Tolpits Lane, replacing Wolsey Business Park.
Existing buildings will be demolished and replaced with two large buildings, containing a combined total of 13 industrial units. Tenants for these units have yet to be announced.
Thomas Mallindine, managing director of asset management at Harleyford Capital, said: “We are pleased to have secured detailed planning consent within eight months of submission and now focus on commencing the development.”
In the planning application, the existing site was described as “under-utilised”.
It added: “The planning application presents an opportunity to optimise the site and bring it back to full economic use which will provide high quality and modern industrial and warehousing units, which in turn will create a significant number of employment opportunities.”
Between 138 and 344 full-time equivalent jobs were promised, as were economic and social benefits to the region.
