TUNE IN: Northwood school to feature in BBC Panorama highlighting impact of COVID-19 on school community

A school in Northwood is set to feature in BBC Panorama to shine a light on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on schools.

Staff and students from St Helen’s school are set to be included in the episode titled ‘The Virus vs the Vaccine’ which airs on Monday, January 11.

The school are set to feature in the episode after being approached by Lucie Kon who also attended St Helen’s.

The school shared the exciting news on their website in a post which read: “Such is the fast paced moving landscape in news, we were delighted to be approached by BBC Panorama producer and alumna Lucie Kon [Class of 1987] to interview Mrs Lucas, Mrs Thomas and some students, to shine a light on the impact of COVID and a further lockdown, on the school community.

“A particular thank you to the head girl team, Bella, Kaira, Rakhee – Verity, our Prep School prefect and Saffron in Year 12 for their maturity, confidence and resilience. Clive Myrie, presenter and the production team were incredibly impressed.”

Tune in to watch the episode of Panorama on BBC One at 7:35pm on Monday, January 11.
