Tributes have been paid to a councillor after he died recently. Leslie Proctor represented Gade Valley on Three Rivers District Council and was battling a long-term illness. He was elected in May 2015 and served on several committees on the council, whilst representing the interests of his constituents. Linda Topping, Chairman of Watford Conservative Association said, “The whole team at Watford Conservatives were saddened to hear of Leslie’s death after a long illness. Leslie was a delightful gent and a great person to work with. He was absolutely thrilled to have been elected and was always grateful for the opportunity to serve the people of Gade Valley.” Cllr Ralph Sangster, Conservative Group Leader, Three Rivers, said, “Although Leslie was only elected in 2015 he had endeared himself to a number of the staff at TRDC and to many of the other councillors from all parties. I know that I speak for everyone at Three Rivers District Council when I say he will be missed by all.“ Richard Harrington, Local MP, said, “I was extremely saddened to learn that Leslie had passed away, having fought for so long we had all hoped that he was through the worst of his illness. He was always extremely kind, conscientious and proud in serving his constituents in Gade Valley. I am sure we will all be thinking of his family at this time and hold fond memories of his time with us.”
