Police were called on Monday (May 9) to a report of a vehicle stolen from a business unit in St Albans.

Officers were called to Long Spring, where Nick Thompson, owner of Melior Sports reported his van stolen from the business unit around 10.15pm on May 8.

It was reported two men stole a silver Peugeot Boxer Van, which contained several tools.

Speaking on the theft of his van, Nick said: “Very sadly our van full of specialist tools and equipment was stolen by two men – one in a balaclava – that arrived in an untaxed and uninsured blue BMW.

“The theft and non-reimbursement of our tools is an enormous blow to morale and finances.”

Nick has created a JustGiving page to raise funds to replace the stolen tools, you can view it here.

A spokesperson from Hertfordshire Police said: “Officers are investigating. Anyone with information is asked to contact 101 quoting crime reference number 41/36539/22.”
