The Abbots Langley Tough 10 race was a huge hit as the sun was shining and a record number of children runners entered. The event which took place yesterday (October 5) proved to be a huge success with just under 800 runners participating in this year’s race which underwent a few changes including professional chip timing. Pat Waterton, one of the event organisers commented: “We had fantastic weather, it was a good day and everyone was saying what a nice atmosphere it was.” There was a record number of under seven’s participating in the 1.5k race and eventually had to be capped at 200. The amount raised will be released at a later date when all the sponsorship has been handed in. Read more information and results in the next issue of My Abbots News.
