The family of a man who died in a road traffic collision in Watford have paid tribute to him.
At around 5.50pm on Friday, December 2 a collision occurred between a pedestrian and a black Toyota Yaris on the A405 North Orbital Road at the junction of Bucknalls Lane. The pedestrian, Robert ‘Bob’ Clewley, aged 71, from Hemel Hempstead, sadly died at the scene.
Paying tribute to Bob, his family said: “Our much-loved dad, Bob, leaves behind a brother, five children, nine grandchildren and a newly born great granddaughter.
“He was a true gentleman and would always help anybody, nothing was too much trouble.
“A London black cab driver for well over 30 years, he was well respected amongst his wide circle of friends. ‘Top of the world Bob’ was a Chelsea fan and kept everyone entertained with his expert analysis and continuous stream of jokes and stories.
“This is a huge loss for us and for everyone that knew him. We’ll never know anyone like him again, RIP Dad .”
