Lockdown during the coronavirus outbreak has meant a clear out for many families, which has shown by the number of skips now sitting on driveways and outside homes in Hemel Hempstead.
Families having to stay at home are taking the opportunity to clear lofts, garages and gardens as well as undertaking DIY projects and decorating.
This means skips are needed more than ever for the resulting rubbish to be taken away and over the weekend one dog walker on his usual route around the Warner’s End and Gadebridge area of the town took the opportunity to snap shot just some of the scores of skips now visible on the streets .
He said “This is a walk of about 25 minutes and everywhere I went I was struck by the number skips that have been hired out. They are everywhere.”
Despite the demand, local skip hire companies have showed there are still plenty available to be hired out.
