Hospice volunteers in Northwood were celebrated last month as part of Volunteers Week.
Volunteers from Michael Sobell Hospice were celebrated as part of the national week which is a time to say thanks for the contribution millions of people make across the UK through volunteering.
Garden volunteer Diana said she still volunteers for the hospice 16 years on.
She said: “Since joining the gardening group in 2004 who would ever have thought I would still be enjoying the delights of working with a wonderful team 16 years later. There are twelve volunteers who meet every Tuesday morning, winter and summer, rain or shine.
“It has been a difficult time for all of us but through it all the team have worked together to keep it all looking at its best.”
A spokesperson for the hospice said: “This week is Volunteers’ Week, a chance for us to say a big ‘thank you’ to all our wonderful volunteers who support Michael Sobell Hospice; be it through our charity shops, book stalls, warehouse, fundraising office or at the Hospice itself.”
