A Bushey charity celebrated the return of its annual Chilterns Three Peak Challenge on Sunday, September 8.

Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care has shared that the 15th edition of the fundraiser had the biggest turnout to date.

More than 1,000 walkers registered for the challenge and, at the time of writing, an incredible £82,660 has been raised.

The 1,000th walker to register for this year’s event was Andrew, who walked with his wife Marie.

After completing the walk, Andrew said: “It was another great event, with the added challenge and excitement of a thunderstorm during the walk!”

Another walker, Clare Brunton, took part with eight of her family members, aged 11 to 71, after her mum received care from the charity before passing away earlier this year.

Clare said: “The nurses were all so kind and caring that we wanted to take part as a family to say thank you to the charity and remember mum.”
