TEENAGER STABBED: Man arrested after Watford town centre attack

Police are appealing to witnesses after an early morning fight between two groups in Watford town centre led to a teenager sustaining an injury believed to be a stab wound.

Officers were called to the Parade at 3.02am on Sunday, August 14, where an altercation had been reported. The 19-year-old victim was taken to hospital, but has since been discharged.

Following the incident, a 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent and possession of Class B drugs. He has since been released on bail as enquiries continue.

Police are now appealing for anyone with any information about the event to contact them via the non-emergency number 101 or through Crimestoppers anonymously.

A Hertfordshire Constabulary spokesperson said: “Police were called at 3.02am on Sunday 14 August following an incident in The Parade, in Watford.

“It was reported that an altercation had occurred between two groups of people, during which a 19 year old man sustained an injury, believed to be a stab wound.

“He was taken to hospital and has since been discharged.

“Enquiries into the incident are continuing at this time and anyone with information about the incident is asked to please call police on 101 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously.

“A 20 year old man has been arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent and possession of a Class B drug (cannabis) and has been released on bail pending further enquiries.”
