Local good Samaritan Charlott Saunders has thanked families in Rickmansworth for their generous support for the Peace Children’s Centre (PCC) in Watford over the last year.
Every year, Charlott collects Christmas presents for children in palliative care at the PCC, an NHS centre working with children and young people.
Charlott said: “I mostly reach out on social media to people living in Bushey, Ricky and Watford, but the majority of donations come from people in Ricky.
“This year, I had about 200 people from Ricky reach out saying they’d like to offer their support. I don’t know why people are so generous, but they go absolutely nuts every time I’m collecting donations – people in Rickmansworth love it.
“I just want to say a big thank you to the Ricky community. Every time someone messages me saying they’d like to get involved, it’s like a little bit of my faith in humanity is restored.”
